A German couple were renovating their holiday home in Gargnano and they wanted to create a living space on a large terrace with lake views.
As well as bringing life to the terrace, the proposed solution involved furnishing it in an original way. We chose to build a pool containing wetland and aquatic plants that would clean the water by themselves thanks to their purifying action.
The pool is the focal point of the terrace and it enhances its surroundings with its unconventional vegetation and the bubbling water that reflects in the light. Outlining it all are slats of natural wood flooring.
When you look out through the large windows in the bedrooms, the way in which the water in the pond and the surface of the lake merge into one is absolutely stunning.
At night, LED lighting systems and the breathtaking views of the lake help to create a spellbinding atmosphere.
The soft sound of the water slowly flowing from the natural filter area into the pond lulls you gently off to sleep on summer nights.
