The customer opened a new accommodation and agritourism establishment called “La Breda” on the shore of Lake Garda. It is in the marvellous Baia del Vento, the famous beach opposite Isola del Garda.
In a renovated old farmhouse, there are a number of apartments where guests can stay.
As well as olive groves, in the large grounds there are meadows stretching down as far as the lake shore where a number of horses graze peacefully. This is probably the only area on the Brescia side of Lake Garda that is still used for agricultural purposes, thanks to the great sensibility and intelligence shown by the owners.
The pond was specially designed to minimize the need for maintenance and make any work that does have to be done as easy as possible.
The pond is open to the public, so the maximum depth is 140 cm and there is a shallow end where younger children can play in the water.
On the side that is most exposed to sunlight, a pergola provides shade on the decking. It is made of larch posts covered with bamboo matting and climbing up it are Baronne De Rothschild roses, Madame Alfred Carrière roses and fragrant star jasmine.
We created a friendly mascot called Froggy to explain what a swimming pond is and how it works. There are special signs to tell young and old alike about the rules and how to behave in and around the swimming pond.
At the end of a fun day full of trips, games and messing around, guests can enjoy a peaceful evening in the shelter provided by the portico next to the swimming pond, where a lounge set provides comfortable seating.
The agritourism establishment now has a big, totally natural attraction that appeals to people of all ages and blends into the landscape perfectly. It provides a great alternative to the lake and traditional swimming pools for the guests.
