The customers wanted to have a swimming pond built by their holiday home in the Franciacorta area, so that they could swim with their young grandson without a care in the world.
We built a swimming pond with a soft shape that blended in perfectly with the landscape. In the upper part of the garden is an artificial spring, from which the water flows past small pebbles in a little stream down into the swimming area.
The sides of the pond are packed with dwarf pittosporums, maples, fescues and a vast array of wetland plants.
The vegetation in the biological filter is lush all year round and its great biodiversity means that there are plenty of flowers, which change from one month to the next.
The swimming pond breathed new life into the impressive garden and attracted a lot of interest from the customers’ grandchildren and their friends, who had great fun in and around it. The sound of the stream and the waterfall and the colours of the plants add a special touch to the holiday home, while the pond attracts numerous species of birds and is extremely atmospheric on long summer evenings.
